To be evaluated for ASD under the CUP:
- Confirm your (or your child’s) diagnosis with a qualified clinician — typically a developmental pediatrician, psychiatrist, neurologist, or licensed psychologist
- Book a telehealth evaluation with a CURT-registered physician
- Bring documentation: diagnosis records, list of prior treatments / therapies, current medications
- Physician evaluates whether cannabis is appropriate for the case
- If certified, physician enters the patient in CURT and the patient can access a TX-licensed dispensary
What to Bring to Your Evaluation
- Medical records confirming the ASD diagnosis (developmental evaluations, psychological reports)
- List of medications and therapies tried and their outcomes
- Government-issued Texas ID (for the legal guardian, if patient is a minor)
- Insurance card (optional — Texas CUP is not covered by insurance, but useful for the physician’s intake)
- Legal guardianship documentation if applicable
